The Full Story
Meet Missy — actually, Kylie — the magic maker behind all the cakes and treats you can’t stop thinking about.
Kylie grew up on a dairy farm in Essex, UK, surrounded by fresh fruit, veggies, and plenty of muddy boots. Family is everything to her (and yes, that includes the dogs—especially spaniels who think they run the place). Baking is in her blood thanks to her granny, who taught her that a good cake can solve almost anything. Her mum passed down a love of flowers, which Kylie took seriously enough to try floristry once — don’t worry, the cakes won that round.
Now living in Brisbane, Kylie juggles family life with a 4-year-old whirlwind daughter and her stepson, an 18-year-old who’s probably too cool to admit he loves her baking (but she knows the truth). Her husband Chris owns Sassafras of Paddington, so between them, it’s all about great food, warm vibes, and probably a few too many cups of tea.
When Kylie’s not busy whipping up something delicious, you’ll find her sneaking a biccie (or three) with her favourite cuppa, always ready to brighten your day one slice at a time.
